► Cheryl King and Peter Capotosto have joined LM Capital Group as vice presidents of business development, a spokesman confirmed, in an e-mail.
King and Capotosto are responsible for building new client, consultant and adviser relationships. Both are based in the firm’s San Diego headquarters and report to Head of Business Development Johnita Mizelle.

Most recently, King was head of marketing and consultant relations at Symphony Asset Management and Capotosto was regional director and external wholesaler at SEI Investments. LM Capital has $4.9 billion in assets under management as of June 30, according to the firm’s website.

► The Teacher Retirement System of Texas and Employees Retirement System of Texas will hold their annual emerging manager conference on Feb. 2. The event will be held in Austin, Texas.

Further details on the agenda for the event are not yet available, ERS Spokeswoman Mary Jane Wardlow said, in an e-mail.

More than 1,300 managers and investors attended the 2017 event.

► Vince Williams, formerly co-ceo of minority-owned investment
manager Lombardia Capital Partners, joined emerging manager-of-managers Legato Capital Management in October, CEO and CIO Victor Hymes confirmed, in an e-mail.

Williams serves as senior v.p., product specialist and head of business development for the firm and reports to Hymes, he said.

The position is new and he is based in the firm’s San Francisco headquarters.

Lombardia closed in April (EMM, 5/4).

► Benner Ulrich joined Tocqueville Asset Management in August, bringing to the firm a domestic small- to mid-cap value equity strategy he previously managed at Breithorn Capital Management.

He has been a portfolio manager on the strategy since its launch in 2009. Breithorn is in the process of winding down operations.
