    Incumbent Protection, Closed Networks Key Reasons MWBE Managers Can’t Garner Opportunities: COF Panel Emerging Manager

    A large part of the reason that women- and minority-owned asset managers are not being given an opportunity in the institutional space is related to “incumbent protection” and allocators’ reliance on previously established networks to identify managers, according to panelists speaking on the State Of Investment Diversity Forum at last month’s Council on Foundation’s Endowments & Finance Summit in New York.
